FireEye Technology

The FireEye Attack Confirmation Technology (FACT) engine forms the core of every FireEye security appliance.

The FACT engine is a network-based technology that creates an infinite supply of virtual victim machines by dynamically building them on the fly and using them to scan real-time network traffic flows for targeted, stealthy malware. FireEye watches suspicious code as it compromises the virtual victim machines. The FACT engine:

  1. Identifies suspicious network activities — Flags suspicious traffic for virtual victim machine analysis
  2. Confirms malicious impact — Targeted malware is confirmed within virtual victim machines as an attack, known or unknown

The FireEye 4200 stops zero-day exploits, targeted attacks, and mutating attacks that evade other security techniques. Find out more!
