You are an innovative, results-oriented Network Operations Leader with proven track record in conceiving, designing, directing, and implementing multi-tier network systems and a broad range of network operations initiatives, while participating in planning and implementation of solutions in direct support of business objectives.
The Network Operations Leader works with Business Operations, Engineering, Support, IT, and other functions as needed, to ensure best in world customer experience as measured by product network functionality and bandwidth uptime necessary and sufficient to meet customer/business needs in a manner consistent with and in support of the company's overall strategies. This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to see the big picture, define a vision and the strategy to achieve it, and execute at the transactional level.
The Leader will be responsible for network design and support for all product related applications and network infrastructure. This role is also expected to help lead our disaster recovery, business continuity, and enterprise architecture efforts.
This is a highly technical position that requires a thorough understanding of the entire operation from bringing new sites on line, to platform functionality, content update scheduling and distribution, remote monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and reporting. Strong knowledge of application development methodologies and processes, a wide range of enterprise application software and technologies, business objectives, and system and security requirements is also required.
This individual will ensure that the technical infrastructure will provide optimal manageability for FireEye. The role will also involve but not be limited to day to day network operations management, diagnostics and troubleshooting, problem resolution and root cause analysis, advanced technical support, remote network monitoring, network health and performance reporting, vendor management, and project management.
In addition to a strong technical foundation, this person will be an adept leader and developer of people, skillful budget manager, and strong team player. This person will be plugged in to the health and performance of the network on a daily basis and will drive the systematic measurement and analysis of service levels and performance data to ensure consistently best customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the utmost level of accessibility (5x9s) of mission critical software/services & systems available to our client base. Ensure system stability and high quality service for SaaS product environment.
- Manage the network design, technology implementation, capacity planning/scaling, and operations for multiple data centers.
- Architect infrastructure solution (platform and environment agnostic application framework) to enable global scalability and rapid porting of new customer environments with no impact to customer experience network performance.
- Implement processes and procedures governing access to and maintenance of secure internet services and infrastructure.
- Work closely with Software Engineering & Product Management organizations to support ongoing product releases.
- Set up and manage secure hosted facilities maintaining over 5x9s uptime and service availability.
- Perform and manage software development for enterprise and cloud based software solutions.
- Act as an escalation point during incidents and facilitate timely issue resolution.
- Constantly monitor and improve user experience. Develop and convey regular reporting on product success metrics.
- Recommend improvements for and manage to product capacity & disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with other departments on architectural, deployment, security and upgrade related initiatives, as well as general infrastructure strategy.
