Mandiant Security Validation recognized for giving users evidence as to the effectiveness of an organization’s infrastructure

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 9, 2020-- FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the intelligence-led security company, is pleased to announce that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has presented FireEye with a 2020 CRN Tech Innovator Award. FireEye was recognized for its Mandiant® Security Validation solution, which claimed top honors in the ‘Security - Risk Assessment and Management’ category.

This annual award program honors innovative vendors in the IT channel across 49 technology categories, in key areas ranging from cloud to security and networking. CRN editors assessed hundreds of vendor products along multiple criteria, including uniqueness, key capabilities, technological competency, and addressing customer needs.

Launched in early 2020, Mandiant Security Validation is a cyber security risk assessment and management platform. It equips security teams with the ability to safely emulate real adversary attacks and gain visibility into exactly how their security controls perform against different attack behaviors executed in real-time. The results highlight specific individual attacks and even entire areas in the extended kill chain that defeat or bypass security controls across technology, people and processes. A key reason why Mandiant Security Validation was chosen for this award is the manner in which these insights enable security teams to identify redundancies in tools, gaps in defenses and opportunities to optimize and ultimately transform their entire security program.
