Course Description
This 1-2 hour instructor-led module must be taught in combination with any one or more of the following:
- Network Security (NX series) Deployment
- Email Security (EX series) Deployment
- Content Security (FX series) Deployment
- Forensic Analysis (AX series) Deployment
By the end of this module, students should understand the deployment, installation, configuration, and administration of CM.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course the learner should be able to:
- Deploy, install, and configure CM
- Administrate NX, EX, FX, and AX series appliances from CM
- Identify potentially compromised hosts via CM
- Identify recipients of malicious emails via CM
- Correlate web and email attacks
- Submit malware detected via NX, EX, or FX directly to AX via the CM Web UI.

- Course level: beginner
- Duration: 1-2 hours. Must be taught in conjunction with another course
Target Audience
Network security professionals and incident responders.
Course Outline
- Central Management
- FireEye CM Web UI and dashboard
- Managing NX, EX, FX, and AX
- Correlating events detected via different vectors, e.g. web and email
- Submitting alerts detected by EX and NX to AX for deep analysis
Lessons can include hands-on labs in addition to presentation/lecture.
Prerequisites
A working understanding of networking and network security, the Windows operating system, file system, registry, and use of the CLI.
